Rolled sheet metal roofs and profiled sheet metal roofs are the most popular roofing materials in Estonia – lightweight, durable and affordable. We install both types of sheet metal roofs on both new buildings and buildings undergoing renovation across Estonia.
Profile sheet metal or rolled sheet metal roof?
Profile sheet metal roofs are the most affordable type of roofing material, which is not inferior in technical characteristics to other types of roofing materials. Due to its lightness, a sheet metal roof does not require such a dense substructure as a stone roof. Profiled sheet metal is particularly suitable for gable roofs with a simple shape – residential buildings, auxiliary buildings, production buildings.
Rolled sheet metal roofs are a traditional and more dignified solution: the sheet metal tiles are connected to each other with a double roll, without through-going fasteners. Rolled sheet metal allows you to shape the sheet metal around more complex shapes – round roof shapes, domes, towers and joints receive a complete and waterproof coating. That is why rolled sheet metal is the first choice for environmentally valuable buildings and architecturally demanding projects.
Why choose a rolled sheet metal roof?
The double-rolled connection is without openings – no through screw holes are made in the roof, which eliminates leaks for decades. A rolled sheet metal roof lasts 50–70 years with proper installation and maintenance. The light weight (4–7 kg/m²) is also suitable for old buildings whose load-bearing structure cannot withstand the load of a stone roof. In addition, the sheet metal roof is a fully recyclable material.
A proper metal roof starts with the right substructure: the battens, ventilation gap and underlay must ensure that condensation can escape from under the roof. The rolled metal is installed by hand – the tiles are rolled on site, and we also perform the joints and sheet metal work ourselves. We use high-quality stone- and paint-coated steel sheets, such as Ruukki materials, which have a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 50 years.
We also install roof safety elements: snow guards, roof ladders, walkways and rainwater systems.

The values are approximate and depend on the quality of the material and installation. The rolled sheet metal roof stands out with the smallest permissible slope and the absence of through fastenings – therefore it is also suitable for very flat roofs.
