Ordering and Installation of Cupa 4 Slate

How much material is needed? The amount of slate depends on the roof area, the pitch, and the selected tile size—smaller tiles mean greater overlap and more material per square meter. Send us your roof measurements or a drawing, and we’ll calculate the exact amount needed and provide a quote within 1–2 business days.

Material with installation or separately? We offer both: we sell Cupa 4 slate both with professional installation and as material only, if you have your own roofer. For installations, we provide a warranty on the work and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions—this is important because the lifespan of a slate roof depends directly on the quality of the installation.

Delivery time. Cupa 4 is part of the CUPA standard selection, so delivery times are short. We will confirm the exact delivery time along with the quote—larger quantities and special orders (e.g., specific thickness or dimensions) may take longer.

Samples. Before making a decision, you can request stone samples to evaluate the color and surface finish (R, H, or Natural) in natural light—a photo can never accurately capture the texture of natural stone.

Cupa 4 Slate Surface Finishes

R – Textured (Relief): a naturally textured surface that preserves the stone’s natural roughness. The most popular choice for roofs—the textured finish gives the roof a lively, handcrafted look and effectively conceals signs of wear that develop over time.

H – Honed: a smooth, matte, lightly polished surface. Suitable for buildings with modern and minimalist architecture where a uniform, serene roofline is desired.

Natural: a raw, unprocessed surface—the closest to what the stone looks like after being quarried. The choice for those who value the material’s authenticity above all else, such as in restoration projects and traditional architecture.

If you’re unsure which surface finish is right for your building—ask for samples, and we’ll send you stone pieces so you can evaluate the color and texture in natural light.
